Nights of July 24th through 26th.
We camped at Heather’s aunt and uncles property on Johnson lake near Deer River, MN in the Chippewa National Forest.
This trip was our first chance to truly test out our solar panel, we ran our exhaust vent fan 24/7, and normal use of water pump, and phone and laptop charging, we were at “low” battery per the charge controller every morning and fully recharged by the end of the day. Not exactly a scientific test since I did not have a volt meter to check actual state of charge, but it does seem to do exactly what I hoped it would, and that is to greatly extend how long we can dry camp.
